Pedregal de La Paz proudly presents the finest Tennis Club in the State, Pedregal Tennis Center, which includes seven hard surface tennis courts, one of them stadium type. The project was designed and built by Architect Adriana Resendiz Diaz Rivera, devoted to the dreams and the vision of her grandfather Architect Manuel Diaz Rivera, visionary founder of Pedregal de Cabo San Lucas and La Paz. The challenge presented by the amenities as well as the area where the development is located has been the perfect opportunity to showcase all the elements that make the community outstanding and unique, through use of local materials and the regional flora, which can be appreciated in every corner and even in the most subtle details of the Club facilities.

With over 20 years of professional teaching experience, Ted Bell offers a particular perspective and unique approach to the game of tennis. Choosing and incorporating him as the Club´s pro will distinguish the sports quality level at Pedregal de La Paz Tennis Center. Ted features in the top 1% of all teaching Pros in the Country and has more certifications than any other in the State. His teaching credentials include P1 and level 4 in the USPTA and FMT respectively. Ted’s love for the game will be the perfect motivation for young students and their families to achieve their dreams, through either private or group lessons.

Project Director Javier Manterola says: “We want to support and help develop athletes with a culture of respect, honesty and love for the game that will motivate them to pursue and participate in the most important competitions of this discipline at any level.”

We can´t wait to hear the balls hitting the surface of the Tennis courts and see the homeowners participating in upcoming tournament as well as making new family histories in this amenity of their homes.

This Friday, March 17th at 6.00 PM there will be an opening ceremony with a cocktail and friendly game. If you would like to join us, tour the facilities and get more information on memberships, feel free to contact us by email at javierm@pedregal.com or by phone at (612) 106.7113.

Living with Pets in Cabo San Lucas

by admin on April 29, 2013

By Jennifer Powell

I have two dogs and three cats that live with me here in Cabo.  I brought one of the dogs with me, and recently adopted another after losing my older female dog.  I adopted from the local Humane Society shelter, and it was an easy process.  I walk my dogs on the beach every morning and most afternoons as well.  I have one black cat named Shadow that I found in the neighborhood and she thinks she is a dog.  She follows us to the beach and waits by the walkway for us to return, and she walks all the way around the block with us in the afternoons!

There are many options for veterinaries here in Cabo and all over the Los Cabos region.  I use Dr. Samantha Acosta from the Animal Care Center, who has an office close to the plaza of Pedregal right behind the California Ranch Market and Romeo & Julieta Restaurant.  She is wonderful with both dogs and cats, and has a lot of experience with local pet issues.  One important note is that heartworm is prevalent here in the Baja, which many pet owners are not aware of.  It is important to use preventative treatment for ticks, fleas and mosquitos here.  Groomers are plentiful as well, and offer reasonable rates.

If you are thinking of moving to Cabo with pets there are a few things to keep in mind: you will need a health certificate from your local vet in order to transport your pet across the border.  You can find plenty of options for good pet food and other accessories here in Cabo.

You will find that Pedregal is a pet friendly neighborhood with many happy pet residents.  The Los Cabos Humane Society (check out their website or Facebook page) works to trap feral cats in the neighborhood, and there are sidewalks for walking all over.  Dog waste bags are provided at two stations for those who want to bring their dog to the beautiful Pedregal Beach.

Casa Nina is a great home for pets located on the marina side of Pedregal.  With three bedrooms and three and a half baths it is a great family home.  Your four legged family member will love the fully fenced grassy front yard with shade and the huge patio and pool area which also provides a nice shady area under the pergola.  Offered at $650,000.

You can contact me for more information on this or any other properties for sale… and look out for me and my pets on the beach!

Building VS buying a home in Pedregal

by admin on February 15, 2013

Could building be your best option?

By Jennifer Powell.

Clients frequently ask us about buying a lot and building, versus buying a resale or new construction home. There are several factors to consider when weighing these options. Are you looking for a home to move into right away, or could you wait the year it averages here for your new home to be completed? Are you finding what you are looking for in the homes you have seen, or are you willing to settle on some features? If not, and you have the time, building might just be your best option and we can guide you through the entire process. Don’t let the fear of the unknown prevent you from getting exactly what you want in a home.

Prices on lots, particularly for what we call developer lots here at Pedregal, are at a historic low with plenty of inventory to choose from, most of which offer Pacific Ocean & Cabo Marina views with financing available on many of them. We have architects ready and available to come meet you at your prospective lot and give you a general idea of costs of construction based on your needs, so you can have a realistic idea of what is involved financially.

PCSL_Developer_Lot

Within Pedregal, there are several architects to design the perfect-custom home just for you. Assistance is available for managing your construction project to maximize resources and once your home is ready, to help you find the perfect property manager if needed. Building materials are reasonably priced and easy to locate for our local builders. Our recommended architects will be able to show you properties they have built so you can see first hand the quality of workmanship and the many styles that are available, and even put you in contact with their clients to get first hand testimonials.

If you are not happy with the options available from the homes currently on the market and can’t find exactly what you want, why not build it? We can provide assistance to you through each step of the process.

For more information about the residential lots available and the financing options, send us an email to info@pedregal.com or give us a call at (624) 143.1359.

Healthy Living in Cabo San Lucas

by rlilic on January 21, 2013

by Jennifer Powell, Pedregal de Cabo San Lucas real estate associate

Cabo San Lucas is more than just a party town, and most visitors don’t realize the vast array of opportunities here for healthy lifestyle options.  In addition to the great outdoor activities such as: swimming, supping (stand up paddling), snorkeling, diving, fishing, walking, running, hiking, rock climbing, and golfing we also have some great options to eat out and specialty shops and markets for preparing that special meal at home.  There are also state of the art medical facilities such as Blue Net Hospitals, as well as holistic healing centers and doctors to assist in your journey to health.

garden-vegetables_organic-market

Right here in Pedregal we have a wonderful organic farmers’ market which is held each Wednesday and Saturday from 8-12.  You can get fresh juices (fruit and vegetable) and healthy breakfast, lunch and now dinner options from Penny Lane Cafe, organic produce from the local farmers including fresh goat cheese and yogurt, eggs, chicken, and all sorts of fresh, organic local fruits and vegetables plus fresh seafood and a variety of baked goods, prepared salads, etc…  I go to the farmers’ market twice a week to purchase my green veggie juice and the fresh produce I need.  I realized how lucky I am on my last trip to the states when I couldn’t find the healthy options that are available to me right here in Cabo!  Visit this website for more information on all the great options available at the spa and market: www.maradentrospa.com

Every Sunday the main road in town closes to automobile traffic so families (with their pets) can walk, ride, rollerblade, skate, etc….  It is a great way to get exercise and see all your friends and families as well.  There are many gyms, including Club Rincon right here in Pedregal, as well as doctors and nutritionists available to help you tailor a program that is right for you.  There are half marathons, five and ten mile walk/runs and many more options to participate in this great and healthy lifestyle!
